* Only individuals may purchase a ticket. No businesses, groups or teams

* Each Series ticket holder will be awarded 10 points to begin the season

 

* Salmon will be awarded 4 points per pound

 

* Halibut will be awarded 1 point per pound

 

* Tidal fishing regulations must be followed at all times and ALL ticket holders must possess a valid fishing license

 

* The Series ticket holder with the most points at the end of the season will be declared the Sooke Saltwater Series Champion

 

* In the event of any ties, the fisher with the earliest catch registration will be declared winner

 

* Series ticket holders can weigh one halibut, two Coho, and two Chinook towards the Series standings. Only the largest of each will be

 

  counted towards the individual derby standings

 

* The winning fish from each derby will be kept by Series officials and donated to the Sooke Food Bank

 

* Series prizes: Cash, assorted prizes, and a hidden weight prize

 

* Largest fish caught while using a SUP or kayak will be awarded a special prize courtesy of   Westcoast Outdoor Adventure Rentals 

 

* Boundaries: Sheringham Point to Pedder Bay in area 20-5 only. NO RIVER CAUGHT FISH ARE ALLOWED

 

* You may not fish anywhere out of bounds at any point on a derby day. If it is proved that a fisher was fishing out of bounds at any point during a derby day

 

  (even if they can prove their fish was caught in-bounds) they will be disqualified

 

* One rod per ticket

 

* Only one fish prize per ticket

 

* Weigh in opens 10 am at Jock's Dock. Fishers must be in line to weigh their fish by 2:30 pm

 

* Fish must be weighed in on the day they were caught 

 

* The prize ceremony location has not been determined.

* Series ticket holders may weigh in two Coho towards the Series standings, but only the largest will be counted towards the derby
